Biography
James Merrill is a 24 year old digital artist stationed in Baltimore, MD. A third generation artist, he's always felt the urge to create, whether it's drawing, 3D modelling, animating, designing or developing. Working heavily in Abstract art, Surrealism, Graffiti, and calligraphy, this portfolio continues to evolve beyond simple genres, branching outward to the root of creative expression. Besides art, James's interests include Bonsai, Skateboarding, electronic music and delicious beer.
In addition to art and illustration, James is also working as the lead Flash developer at Planit, the premier Ad Agency in Baltimore. With over 6 years of agency experience, everything from project planning, to design, to development is in his skill-set.
James has also been an avid member of the online digital art community since 2004, with over 50 submissions to EvokeONE, and even earning the spot of Featured Arist. In 2011 James joined The Depthcore Collective, in hopes of augmenting his relationships with the worlds leading designers and illustrators.
